Ejari
The Dubai Government has been implementing a new system of registering tenancy contracts. This new system is called 'Ejari' and is an online process that registers the property details as well as the landlord and tenants details of any tenancy agreement with RERA
We feel that this is a good step forward for the rental market. It will make the market much more transparent and also clear up a lot of the grey areas regarding landlord and tenant relationships. It will also become mandatory by the end of 2011 for all tenancy contracts to be registered in this system.
The basic principles for 'Ejari' are:
- To regulate the rental market
- Facilitate Landlord and Tenant relationships
- Provide an online registration system
- Include renewals, cancellations and terminations.
